Guama is located in the Zapata Swamp, in the south of the province of
Matanzas. Here you can visit the only Crocodile Breeding Farm in Cuba. Guama is
the only monument dedicated to the original Cuban inhabitants: The Aboriginals
called by Christopher Columbus as ¨the Indians¨. A short speed boat ride along
a canal will take you to the island in the middle of ¨Treasure Lake¨ where
Guama is situated. A green lawn and quiet setting among the statues and small
islands connected by bridges make this monument the unique in the world. This
tour is a great opportunity to know the first inhabitants of Cuba, and also to
swim in the Caribbean Sea.
